FAQs

The cartridge filters tap water to achieve 99% calc free water so that you will enjoy clean steam day after day. This extends the product life by 5 times and we provide 5 years warranty against scale. A light indicates when to change the cartridge or to use demineralized water. If the cartridge is exhausted or demineralized water is not used, the system will preventively stop producing steam to protect your appliance from damage due to scale build-up.
PerfectCare Pure GC7600 does not need calc-clean feature thanks to the PureSteam anti-calc cartridge technology that delivers 99% calc free steaming. In case you are using the non-cartridge version, please use only demineralized water or filtered water from IronCare (GC024).
The safety auto-off function automatically switches off the appliance if it has not been used for more than 5 minutes, to save energy. Press the on/off button to reactivate the appliance.
1. The Smart Control Processor keeps the soleplate at a temperature safe to use on all ironable fabrics, never being too hot or too cold. 2. The Smart Control Processor ensures consistent heat delivering powerful steam without water droplets.
There are various types of noises that are produced by the steam generator: 1. Noise from the stand This is characterized by a vibrating sound that happens at irregular intervals or every time steam trigger is pressed (GC76xx). The noise is related to water being sent from the water tank to the steam generator. This is normal. However, you can reduce the noise by not placing the steam generator on a hard surface. You may also put a piece of soft material, e.g., a cloth under the steam generator. 2. Noise from the iron This is characterized by the whooshing sound that can be heard when steam comes out of the soleplate. This is normal for steam generator with high pressure steam. You can reduce steam by selecting a low steam or ECO setting.
You have to replace the ANTI-CALC cartridge. You can also use demineralised water or descaled water from the IronCare (GC024). In that case, you need to leave the exhausted cartridge in the compartment.

  • Your appliance has been designed to be used with tap water. In case you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled or de-mineralized water to prolong the lifetime of your appliance.
  • Do not add perfume, water from tumble dryer, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause water spitting, brown staining, or damage to your appliance.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, then please either call us using the phone number on this page OR click HERE to arrange a return or exchange.
