FAQs

The microwave steriliser bag works for all microwaves. Select the energy and time according to the table in the manual. Never place the bag on a metal grill. If your microwave does not have a rotating plate turn the bag on its other side half way the cycle and complete the cycle. The sterilising time depends on your microwave. Select the appropriate microwave wattage and time according to the following table: Microwave setting Time 600-750 W 5 min 800-1100 W 3 min Above 1100 W 1.5 min

Yes, it is proven that the microwave steriliser bag kills 99.9% of bacteria and germs.
The AVENT cutlery and bottle brush cannot be sterilised in the microwave steriliser bag. In general you cannot sterilise items that are filled with liquid (e.g. teether with fluid), parts with electronic components (e.g. motor parts of the electrical breast pump or toys) or metal items.
Measure and pour exactly 60 ml water in the bag. Too little water can cause damage to your products (e.g melting). When the bag contains too much water, the items will not be sterilised properly.
Disassemble the bottle and breast pump and place the items in the bag. To ensure the steam can enter the bottles, place the bottle in such way that the opening is not completely closed.
Yes, before sterilising clean the items in the usual way by washing them in warm soapy water and rinse them thoroughly. Make sure you remove all milk residues to ensure effective sterilisation.
