FAQs

The appliance is equipped with a safety system. If the parts have not been assembled properly, the appliance does not work. Check whether the parts have been assembled in the right way, but switch off the appliance before you do so.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, then please either call us using the phone number on this page OR click HERE to arrange a return or exchange.

1. The appliance is not correctly plugged into the socket

If your Philips Juicer is not plugged into the wall socket properly, it may stop working. To solve this, make sure the appliance is correctly plugged into the wall socket.

2. The lid is no tproerly assembled

The lid is located on top of the filter of your Philips Juicer. If the lid is incorrectly assembled, then the appliance does not work as there is no proper activation of the safety function. Please, make sure the lid is properly assembled to the appliance.

3.The locking arm is not properly closed

The locking arm is located in the right and left side of your Philips Juicer. If the locking arm is not positioned or closed correctly, the appliance does not work as there is no proper activation of the safety function. Make sure the locking arm is closed properly as shown in the image below.

The most common fruits and vegetables processed in a juicer are:

Apples

Carrots

Melons

Pineapples

Grapes

Oranges

Pears

Nectarines

Kiwis

Celery

Beets

Ginger

Berries (e.g. strawberries)

Note: Fruits and vegetables that contain starch (e.g. banana, mango, sugar cane, avocado, pumpkin) cannot be juiced. Use a blender instead.

1. The juicer is used for the first time

It is very common for a new appliance to give off an unpleasant smell or emit some smoke the first few times you use it. This will stop after you have used your Philips Juicer a number of times.

2. Many ingredients are juiced and the appliance operated too long

The appliance may also give off an unpleasant smell or emit some smoke if you juice too many ingredients, if you juice very hard ingredients (e.g. leeks) or if you let the appliance operate too long. In these cases, switch off your Philips Juicer and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes.

Please follow the steps below to prepare your fruits or vegetables before juicing:

1. Wash the vegetables or fruits first.

2. Remove the peels of fruits or vegetables, which you would not normally eat.

3. Cut the vegetables or fruits into pieces that fit into the feeding tube of your Philips Juicer.

Note: Remove stones from cherries, plums, peaches and other fruits and vegetables with stones. You do not have to remove cores from fruits like melon, apples, and grapes.

Switch the appliance off, clean the feeding tube and the filter, empty the integrated pulp container, and process a smaller quantity

The integrated pulp container, as shown in the image below, is located under the lid and the filter of your Philips Juicer.

If the integrated pulp container reached to its maximum capacity, this may slow down the appliance. To solve this, switch off the appliance and remove the pulp from the pulp container.

If your blender won’t start, check the following:

  • Check that the blender is correctly aligned.
  • Check that there are no gaps in the assembly.
  • Try an alternative plug socket.
  • Change the fuse in the plug.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

If your blender is leaking, check the following:

  • Check that the blender is correctly aligned.
  • Check that there are no gaps in the assembly.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

If the blender blades are stuck, check the following once you have unplugged the unit completely and disconnected from power. Before inspecting, take caution to not touch the blades with your fingers to avoid injury:

  • Check the blades for any food debris by using a spatula to dislodge.
  • Check that the blades are correctly attached to the assembly.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

If your blender is making unusual noises, check the following:

  • Check that the blender is correctly aligned.
  • Check that there are no gaps in the assembly.
  • Ensure the unit is on a stable surface.
  • Check that there is no food or debris stuck in the unit.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

If your blender is not blending smoothly, try the following:

  • Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces.
  • Ensure you have added liquid to get smoother results.
  • Try different settings, such as pulsing.
  • Try alternative ingredients or change the recipe.

Blenders may overheat and shut down if there is too much strain put into the motor and blades. If this happens, turn the unit off and unplug. Allow it to cool down and check for any food debris that may be caught in the blades and overworking them. Remove any debris, and start again.

We recommend doing shorter pulses of blending rather than blending for a long time to avoid overheating.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

If the blender isn’t responding to buttons, check the following:

  • Check the unit is correctly aligned.
  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.
  • Change the fuse in the plug.

If the issue remains, please contact the support team using the details on this page.

The blender jug may become cloudy due to food and debris build up over time. Clean the jug following the cleaning instructions in your user guide.
