FAQs

IMPORTANT: To prolong the lifetime of your appliance and to maintain good steaming performance, use the Calc-Clean function once every two weeks.

If the water in your area is very hard (i.e. when flakes come out of the soleplate during ironing), use the Calc-Clean function more frequently.

Step 1: Make sure the steam control is set to no steam.

Step 2: Fill the water tank to the MAX indication.

Note: Do not pour vinegar or other descaling agents into the water tank. Step 3: Set the temperature dial to MAX.

Step 4: Plug in the base, put the iron on the base and let the iron heat up.

Step 5: Remove the iron when the light ring turns steady blue.

Step 6: Hold the iron over the sink. Push the steam control to the Calc-Clean position and hold it.

Step 7: Gently shake the iron while holding the steam control until all water in the water tank has been used up.

Caution: While scale is flushed out, steam and boiling water also come out of the soleplate Step 8: Set the steam control back to no steam.

Note: Repeat the Calc-Clean process if the water that comes out of the iron still contains scale particles.

After the Calc-Clean process

1 Put the iron on the base. Let the iron heat up to dry the soleplate.

2 Take the iron from the base when the light ring turns steady blue.

3 Move the iron gently over a piece of cloth to remove any water stains on the soleplate.

This problem may be due to below 4 scenarios:

1. Cordless iron cools down after a while. It needs to be recharged.

Put the iron back to the base until the light ring turns steady blue light, indicating that the iron is ready for use again. 2. The steam control is set to no steam.

Set the steam control to a steam setting. Consult Table 1 at the bottom for temperature and steam setting.

3. The water tank is empty.

Fill the water tank.

4. You are using a temperature of below 2 dots.

This problem may be due to below 5 scenarios:

1. Cordless iron cools down after a while. It needs to be recharged.

Put the iron back to its base to heat up and dry the soleplate.

2. You are using steam or steam boost at a low temperature. 3. You have used the steam boost function too often within a very short period.

Use the steam boost function less frequently.

4. The water tank is overfilled.

Do not fill the water tank beyond the MAX indication.

5. The door of filling opening is not closed properly.

Make sure that the door of filling opening is closed properly.

This is normal. This is intended to save energy in safety auto-off mode.

This is normal. The turbo steam is designed as this. Keep holding the steam control in the turbo steam position while using turbo steam. For other steam settings, this is not necessary.

You have not performed Calc-Clean function for some time. The iron needs to be cleaned. Use the Calc-Clean function.

The likely cause for this is that the garment surface being ironed is uneven; such as pocket or fold line below the garment.

To prevent shine/print, avoid ironing over uneven surface or use a piece of cotton over the surface during ironing

Please check below scenarios:

1. You have used the steam boost function too often within a very short period. In this case, wait for a few seconds before you use the steam boost function again.

2. You have used the steam boost function at a too low temperature. In this case, set an ironing temperature at which the steam boost function can be used (●●● to MAX).

If the appliance has no power, try the following:

  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.
  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.

Allow the iron to reach temperature and stabilise for 1-2 minutes if it has just been plugged in or has just been woken up from auto shut off. Also check you have set the correct heat setting for the garment.

If the iron has no steam or poor steam, check the following:

  • Check that there is enough water in the tank.
  • If your iron has an auto-shut off, check to see if this has activated, wake up the iron and allow it to reach temperature before using steam.

This is normal and is caused by water being pumped through the steam pump. The pump is controlled by the unit automatically to keep the boiler up to pressure.

If the appliance is tripping the electrics, try the following:

  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.
  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.

Check the laundry care label of your garments to find the correct temperature to correspond with your appliance.
