FAQs

Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this twice to remove any manufacturing dust, etc.

  1. Put the stand on a stable, level surface.
  2. Plug the stand into the wall socket.
  3. Put the kettle on the stand.
  4. Move the switch to I.
  5. The water level gauge will light up and the kettle will start to heat up.
  6. When the water boils the kettle will switch off.
  7. To switch off manually, move the switch to O, or simply lift the kettle off the stand.

When you lift the kettle, you may see moisture on the stand. Don’t worry – it’s the steam used to switch off automatically, which then condenses and escapes via vents under the kettle.

  1. This will shorten the life of the element. A boil-dry cut-out will switch the kettle off.
  2. You must then remove the kettle from its stand to reset the cut-out.
  3. Sit the kettle on the work surface till it’s cold.
  1. Unplug the stand, and let the kettle cool before cleaning.
  2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
  3. Keep the connectors dry.
  4. Push the hook on top of the filter down then lift the filter out of the kettle.
  5. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
  6. Lower the filter into the kettle, and engage the bottom hook in the bottom of the spout.
  7. Press the top of the filter towards the kettle, to lock the hook in place.
  8. Close the lid.

Descale the appliance at least monthly with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of descaler. Products returned under guarantee with faults due to scale will be subject to a repair charge.

If the lid isn’t closing properly, check these things first:

  • Check for any damage or debris.
  • Check for any limescale build-up around the lid mechanism and remove.

If the issue remains, please contact the relevant support team by using the contact details on this page.

If the kettle stops before it reaches boil, check the following:

  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.
  • Check for any limescale at the bottom of the kettle and use a descaling solution to remove. A build-up of limescale can cover the elements and reduce its efficiency to boil.

If the issue remains, please contact the relevant support team by using the contact details on this page.

If your kettle has no power, check the following:

  • Try an alternative mains plug socket. This will help work out if the issue is with the mains socket or the kettle itself.
  • Change the fuse in the plug. You can watch the below video on how to change the fuse in the plug.

If the issue remains, please contact the relevant support team by using the contact details on this page.

If the water is cloudy, this could be due to a build-up of limescale. This could be on the base of the kettle or in the filter spout. You can remove this using a descaling solution.

We advise only using the kettle to boil water and no other liquids.
