Note: Check that the HiFi has the correct time and date before you set an alarm.

  1. Press and hold the Menu button. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to System Settings and press to Select.
  2. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to Alarm and press to Select. Use the rotary navigation control to highlight Alarm 1 or 2 and press to Select.
  3. ‘Alarm 1 (or 2) Info’ is displayed, together with a list of Alarm setting options. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to each Alarm option, press the rotary navigation control to Select.
  4. Use the rotary navigation control to change each Alarm setting option, then press the rotary navigation control to Confirm.
  5. When you have completed your Alarm settings, just press and release the Menu button to return to the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 display.

Note: You will not be able to set the alarm volume for less than volume level 10. When the alarm sounds, the volume will get progressively louder until it reaches the volume level that you have set.

      6. Press and release the Menu button until you exit from the Menu settings.

      7. When an alarm has been set, an alarm icon will be displayed for each separate alarm (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2). In standby mode, the alarm icon and the time set for each alarm will be displayed.

Your HiFi can store up to 40 DAB radio stations in its preset memories for instant access to your favourite stations.

  1. Tune the HiFi to the DAB radio station that you wish to preset.
  2. Press and hold the Preset button for approximately 2 seconds until ‘Save to Preset’ is displayed.
  3. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to the preset location that you would like to store the radio station to (1-40).
  4. Press the rotary navigational control to Select. The display will confirm ‘Preset X saved’, where ‘X’ is the number of the preset (1-40).

Note: If there is already an existing DAB station stored under a preset, it will be over written when you store the new station

In DAB mode:

  1. Press and release the Preset button. ‘Preset Recall’ is displayed together with the preset list.
  2. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to the Preset location and station that you would like to listen to (1-40).
  3. Press the rotary navigation control to Select. The HiFi will instantly tune to that station and begin to play.

Note: If no DAB station has been stored under the preset button, ‘Preset Empty’ will be displayed, then the HiFi will revert to the previously selected radio station after a few seconds

You can change the sound of your HiFi using the EQ setting.

  1. Press and hold the Menu button. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to System Settings and press to Select.
  2. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll to Equaliser and press to Select. The EQ options will be displayed.
  3. Use the rotary navigation control to scroll up and down the options available.
  4. When the EQ option you would like is highlighted, press the rotary navigation control on the HiFi to Select.
  5. Press and release the Menu button until you exit from the Menu.

If CD discs are not playing, try the following: 

  • Check that the device in in CD mode. 
  • Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again. 
  • Check the disc tray for any packaging or debris that may be covering the disc sensor. 
  • Try different CDs to check it is not an issue with a specific disc. 
  • Use an original audio CD and not a copy as sometimes copied CDs may not play due to formatting.

If discs are skipping, try the following: 

  • Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again. 
  • Check the disc tray for any packaging or debris that may be covering the disc sensor. 
  • Try different CDs to check it is not an issue with a specific disc. 
  • Use an original audio CD and not a copy as sometimes copied CDs may not play due to formatting. 
  • Check any discs for marks/scratches that could be causing it to skip.

If the radio reception is poor, try the following: 

  • Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again. 
  • Extend the aerial/antenna if your unit has one. 
  • Adjust the tuning wheel/dial slowly to navigate through the stations to find the best signal. 
  • Move away from other electrical appliances that could disturb the signal. 
  • Move the device to another location, preferably an open location near windows/doors.

If the device isn’t turning on, check the following: 

  • Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again. 
  • Try an alternative mains plug socket. 
  • Change the fuse in the plug. 
  • Quick press the On/Off or Standby button to ensure the unit is not in Standby.

If the sound quality is distorted, check the following: 

  • If you are listening to radio through the device, it could be signal related so try retuning and try another station. 
  • Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again. 
  • Try an alternative disc to ensure it is not an issue with the disc. 
  • Move away from other electrical appliances that could disturb the signal.
