You do not have to clean it on a regular basis. Only if the tube fills with some discharge, flush the syringe a few times with soapy water and leave it to dry completely.
The device should be worn daily, eventually for at least 8 hours per day 7 days a week, and success is usually within weeks. If at the end of the treatment the nipple starts to retract, the device can be worn for a little longer.

The tube may be blocked by discharge from the nipple or by the lubricant. Flush the tube through with hand-hot soapy water by drawing the liquid up through the thimble and tube into the syringe, and then flush back out. This exercise should be repeated a number of times and then finally with clear water.
