The left hand pedal has a reverse thread, this means you have to rotate the pedal counter clockwise to assemble it.
Squeaking may occur if nuts and bolts are insecure or over tightened. To stop squeaking, check all nuts and bolts are correctly assembled and secure, but not over tight.
If a manual exercise bike, you need to check the resistance cable assembly in the main upright (guidance in the Instruction Manual). If a powered exercise bike, check the computer has power and all cables are connected. When you change resistance on the console, you should hear the resistance motor.
