FAQs

The parent unit may be switched on during charging. Switch off the parent unit during charging; The unit is used for the first time or after a long period of disuse.

Yes, DECT is safe for your baby. DECT stands for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication. DECT operates using radio signals (electromagnetic waves). Comprehensive international guidelines exist, governing exposure to radio waves. These guidelines have been widely adopted in standards and also endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO). DECT products are subject to these standards. The standards take the safety of children into account by providing substantial margins of safety. The general public limits comprise individuals of all ages (e.g. adults, children and babies) and of varying health status, and may include particularly susceptible groups or individuals. Due to the very low output power, the radio wave exposure from DECT is far below the established limits.

  1. The baby unit also picks up other sounds than those of your baby. Move the baby unit closer to the baby (but observe the minimum distance of 1 metre/3 feet).
  2. The microphone sensitivity level of the baby unit may be set too high. Decrease the microphone sensitivity level with the SENSITIVITY button on the parent unit.

In contrast to analogue monitors DECT technology provides a private and secure connection between baby unit and parent unit. The DECT technology of this baby monitor guarantees no interference from other equipment and no eavesdropping.

Your battery may be flat. When you place your parent unit in the charging base, the red LED will immediately light up to show the unit is charging. Although your parent unit is charging, the LCD screen may take some time to display the battery charging icon, sometimes up to one hour. Once the icon is displayed, continue to charge until the battery is shown as full. We highly recommend you to fully recharge your battery before use.
