FAQs

Check that the heater is plugged into a working mains socket and that the power switch is set to a heat setting.
Some halogen heaters are fitted with a safety cut-out or tip-over switch, which will prevent the heater from operating if it is not standing correctly or has been knocked over.
Place the heater on a firm, level surface and try again.

The heater's safety protection may have activated due to overheating or an unsafe operating condition.
Switch the appliance off, unplug it, and allow it to cool completely.
Check that the heater is not covered and that nothing is obstructing the safety guard or heating elements before restarting the unit.

Halogen heaters provide directional radiant heat rather than heating the entire room.
Make sure an appropriate heat setting is selected and position yourself within the heater's effective range.
For models with multiple heat settings, selecting a higher output may improve comfort.

No. The heating elements and surrounding parts remain hot after the heater is switched off.
Allow the heater to cool for at least 15 minutes before touching, adjusting, moving or cleaning the appliance to avoid the risk of burns.
