Unlike the Xbox 360, which was capable of being positioned on its side or horizontally, the Xbox One can only be placed one way. The Xbox One has been designed to be sat horizontally, vertical positioning of the console is not supported.

Please select settings and then system. On the left hand side of the screen it will state that there are either 'system updates available' or 'no system updates available'.
You can choose to turn Kinect off within your Settings. You'll need to turn Kinect back on manually in the system settings to use it again. You can also unplug your Kinect and your Xbox One will still function.

Firstly ensure you have inserted your disc correctly & also clean the disc with a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth. Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surface.
Different areas of the Kinect front panel are designed to illuminate to help indicate the sensor's functionality.
