FAQs

Scale builds up inside of the soleplate, in order to prevent this please perform the calc clean process. For more information on how to descale your iron go here.

This noise usually comes from the base of the product ( Water being sent from the water tank to the steam generator) and should happen at regular intervals or every time steam trigger is pressed. This is perfectly normal and to be expected with any steam generator. It may be possible to reduce the noise by not placing the steam generator on a hard surface. You may also put a piece of soft material, e.g. a cloth under the steam generator.

Steam has condensed on the ironing board cover after a long ironing session.Put an extra layer of felt material under the ironing board cover to prevent condensation on the ironing board.

  • Your appliance has been designed to be used with tap water. In case you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled or de-mineralized water to prolong the lifetime of your appliance.
  • Do not add perfume, water from tumble dryer, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause water spitting, brown staining, or damage to your appliance.

This problem may be due to below 4 scenarios:

  1. The yellow calc clean light flashes and you have not done or have completed the Calc-Clean process. Perform the Calc-Clean process to enable the steam function again.
  2. You have set the temperature setting too low Turn the temperature dial to 2 dots or higher and wait for the iron to be ready (blue 'iron ready' light becomes steady)
  3. You have not pressed and hold the steam trigger long enough Press and hold the steam trigger until steam comes out. It may take up to 30 seconds until steam comes out.
  4. There is not enough water in the water tank Fill the water tank beyond the MIN indication. Press and hold the steam trigger until steam comes out. It may take up to 30 seconds until steam comes out.
