FAQs

Before first use it is recommended to charge the speaker for about 2 hours. This ensures the battery is fully charged before you enjoy the features of the product. After using the system, dock the speakers back to the main unit for charging to ensure the speakers are charged for next time use.

Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphones and supported devices to establish radio communication with each other by tapping the devices with one another. Just tap (ie, bring into a close proximity and then bring away) the NFC enabled smartphone or tablet on the NFC area the Philips device to start Bluetooth pairing and begin music streaming.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is intended to assist in connecting your mobile device and this Philips product through Bluetooth. Locate the NFC tag on your mobile device. (You may need to refer to the user manual of your mobile device). Tap the NFC tag of your mobile device on the NFC tag of the product (indicated by the NFC icon).

Note: Make sure the NFC tag of your mobile device is brought close to the NFC tag on the product. Hold your mobile device in this position until there is a feedback from your mobile device. The feedback may be visual (e.g., a message displayed on the screen), audio (e.g., a beep from the mobile device), or a vibration of the mobile device, depending on its settings. Once you receive this feedback from your mobile device, move your mobile device away from the NFC tag of the product. The Bluetooth connection between the product and your mobile device will then be established. Depending on different models, there would be an audio signal or LED indication from the product when the connection is successful. You can now enjoy wireless audio streaming via Bluetooth.

Note: At the first time that you establish Bluetooth connection between the mobile device and the product, there would be a prompt from your mobile device to pair your mobile device with the product. Confirm/Accept pairing on your mobile device.

Follow the steps below to perform a manual pairing of the speakers to the main unit. Make sure you follow the steps in the sequence below.

  1. Switch on the system.
  2. Undock both the left and right wireless speakers from the main unit.
  3. On the back of the subwoofer, press the CONNECT button until the LED indicator (located on the front of the subwoofer) starts blinking quickly. The subwoofer enters pairing mode.
  4. On the remote control, press OPTICAL button.
  5. On the remote control, press and hold AUDIO SYNC + button for 5 seconds. When the LED indicator on the subwoofer stops blinking and starts to be on continuously, the sub-woofer is paired with the main unit.
  6. Put the wireless speakers (left and right)back to the main unit (left and right). They would be automatically paired with the main unit when the red/orange blinking light on wireless speakers stop.
  1. Dock the left and right wireless speakers onto the main unit (left and right base speakers) to charge the speakers.
  2. Turn on the main unit. During charging, the orange LED on the wireless speaker lights up. When fully charged, the orange LED on the wireless speaker turns off.

Note: It may take around 3 hours to fully charge the speakers. The speakers must be placed correctly, ie, the left wireless speaker must be docked on the left base speaker; the right wireless speaker must be docked on the right base speaker. Otherwise, the speakers cannot be charged.

Make sure the area around the Philips Fidelio logo on the left speaker is not obstructed. The logo is where the IR sensor is located.
