  1. Before you start please make sure Remote Control is enabled on your Kasa APP.
  2. Open the Kasa App and signed into your account. If you don’t have an account yet, please register for one. 
  3. Connect all your devices to home network. Please make sure all devices are working via Remote Control.
  4. Open Amazon Alexa App, tap on the "Home" icon in bottom right corner. Then click the "+" icon in upper right corner and select "Add Device".
  5. Tap on "ENABLE TO USE", type in your Kasa account and password and then click "Authorize". After authorized successfully, the App will remind that "TP-LINK Kasa has been successfully linked". Tap "Done".
  6. Tap on "DISCOVER DEVICES" or use voice command "Alexa, discover devices". Alexa will scan and show the devices bound to your Kasa account.
  7. You have now completed the setup process. You can select the device types and view what devices are discovered by Alexa.

No smart bulbs are not needed. The switch will control whatever is on the circuit that it's installed on, and Alexa will provide voice control for that device.
